Charlotte has been involved with horses from an early age and began her saddlery training at Cordwainers College in Hackney, East London, in 1990.

Horses have always been central to her life, inspiring a deep interest in understanding their comfort, biomechanics and wellbeing. This curiosity drives her ongoing commitment to researching and providing solutions that support the welfare, happiness and long‑term soundness of every horse she works with.

Alongside her day-to-day saddle fitting work, Charlotte is also part of a team of lecturers who lecture on the Society of Master Saddlers/City & Guilds Qualified Saddle Fitting course, and she also assesses candidates for their Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddle Fitter exams. Training future saddle fitters is something Charlotte feels is essential for the ongoing comfort and welfare of our horses.  She feels privileged to be able to be a part of this process through The Society of Master Saddlers and its training pathway, and is also committed to raising awareness amongst horse owners of the importance of using Registered Qualified Saddlers, Saddler Fitters and Bridle Fitters.

As a fully qualified Master Saddle Fitter and Saddler, and member of The Society of Master Saddlers, Charlotte brings not only technical expertise but also a genuine care for the relationship between horse and rider. Her mission is to ensure that every horse is comfortable and every rider confident.  She works closely with local vets, physios, coaches and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a collaborative approach to optimising comfort and performance.
